Nova Voice Squadron game guide
Goal of the game
In Nova Voice Squadron you play with your face and head movements. Your starfighter follows your NOSE — move your head to fly anywhere. Say FIRE (or any sharp sound like "pew! ") to shoot lasers.
Say BOMB to clear the screen (3 bombs, refill every 1500 pts) and SHIELD for a 4-second force field. BLINK hard to do a barrel roll dodge. Grab power-ups!

Controls explained
- Quick reminder shown in Nova Voice Squadron: Nose = fly · say FIRE · BOMB · SHIELD · blink = roll.
- Sit facing the camera with your whole face in view; Nova Voice Squadron reads your nose position, blinks and mouth on your own device.
- Exaggerate actions a little — a clear blink or wide-open mouth registers more reliably in Nova Voice Squadron than a tiny one.
- If Nova Voice Squadron feels too hard at first, play a practice round to learn the timing before chasing a high score.
Scoring and levels
Points in Nova Voice Squadron come from the code-defined rewards of 20 points for different actions, so the bigger moves are worth chasing. Every 350 points you reach a new level, and Nova Voice Squadron speeds up and sends more at you each time. You start with 3 lives. Your best score is saved in your browser, and signed-in players also appear on the Nova Voice Squadron leaderboard.
Power-ups
Power-up orbs appear every few seconds in Nova Voice Squadron. Touch or collect them to activate:
- ✨ Triple (8 s): multiplies your attack or catch three ways.
- 🛡️ Shield (10 s): blocks the next hit so a mistake does not cost a life.
- ⏳ Slow-Mo (6 s): slows the whole game down so you can line up precise moves.
- 2️⃣ Double Points (10 s): doubles every point you earn while it lasts.
- ❤️ Extra Life: adds one life (up to six).
- ❄️ Freeze (5 s): freezes every moving threat in place.
Characters and world
The 3D world of Nova Voice Squadron features craft speederAs, aliens, craft miners, meteors and rock crystals. Learning how each one moves is the key to reading the screen quickly.
Tips and strategy
- Stay near the centre in Nova Voice Squadron; it gives you the most room to dodge in either direction.
- Don't chase every pickup in Nova Voice Squadron — grab only the ones on your safe path.
- Aim at the nearest threat first in Nova Voice Squadron; letting one slip through costs more than a missed shot.
- Save your focus for the moment a Freeze or Slow-Mo starts — that is when Nova Voice Squadron gives you free points.
- With a Shield active, play aggressively in Nova Voice Squadron; the next mistake is free.
- Good, even lighting from the front makes tracking in Nova Voice Squadron far more reliable than a bright window behind you.
- Replay Nova Voice Squadron a few times: each run teaches you the patterns, and scores usually double after the first five games.
Device requirements and privacy
Nova Voice Squadron needs a front-facing or web camera and works in Chrome, Edge and Safari on phones, tablets and computers. Allow camera access when asked; face tracking runs on your device and nothing is recorded or uploaded unless you choose to record a clip yourself. It is free to play; free players may see a short ad between rounds (never during play), and Premium removes all ads.
